This service will be available in the fall.
The Nutrition Clinic is for adults (18 years and older) who are looking to eat healthily or who have conditions that can be managed through nutrition therapy. We offer consultations for patients with diabetes, heart disease, celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome (Monash University FODMAP trained dietitian), malnutrition and many other medical conditions. We also accept patients with food insecurity and pregnant women (except those with gestational diabetes).
The Nutrition Clinic does not accept consultations for:
- Weight management,
- Type 1 diabetes,
- Patients who receive multiple insulin injections daily.
These patients can be referred to the Diabetes clinic at Hôpital Montfort.
- Initial consultations last approximately 60 minutes.
- Follow-up consultations last approximately 30 minutes.
Please arrive at registration 20 minutes before your appointment and remember to bring a list of your current medications and supplements.
Make sure you are in a quiet place and have an up-to-date list of your medications and supplements with you. You may need to take notes, so make sure to have a pen and paper.
This service is also available by videoconference or telephone.
